python-unac software package provides Library to remove accents from string or character, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-unac
python-unac is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-unac package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-unac *
You will get with python-unac package name, version, architecture and description in a table
